The law firm, which recently won an award for its client-centric service delivery at the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards Europe 2018, has made a number of significant appointments and internal promotions this year.
asb law’s people-first philosophy is attracting like-minded lawyers, who are passionate about improving the way that legal services are delivered.
Rob Green, formerly Legal Director at Canon Europe, joined our commercial team as Commercial Director on 4 November. At Canon Europe, Rob was part of a European legal team, recognised as a GC Powerlist Elite Team by Legal 500 2018.
With a focus on developing asb law’s client relationships and designing commercial legal solutions, Rob is eager to start talking to corporate clients, commenting, “I’m really excited to join the commercial team to support the firm’s commitment to provide innovative, collaborative and tailored legal support based on the needs of its clients.”
“I have first-hand experience of the emerging challenges in-house legal teams are facing and the important contribution that collaborative, flexible and skilled external advisers can make. During my role at Canon Europe, I witnessed how asb law are really trying to understand those challenges and are building a service that starts with the client need and offers support that is really valued. My in-house experience will, I hope, continue to build on this approach and I look forward to getting started.”
Rob joins a number of new starters, with similarly impressive pedigrees:
Geoff Harrington, Partner, Property, joined on 1 October 2018, from Irwin Mitchell and has extensive experience of dealing with large projects including joint ventures in the energy sector, acquisitions and disposals of shopping centres as well as secured lending and investment work.
Karyn Palmer, Associate, Dispute Resolution, joined on 17 October 2018. Karyn was previously Senior Counsel for Competition and Regulatory Affairs at Vodafone.
In addition to the new recruits, asb law is delighted to also announce two senior promotions:
Jo Rovery, who joined asb law in 2012, became an associate in the firm’s expansive commercial property team where she advises on all aspects of commercial property law, specialising in secured lending matters.
Managing Partner, Andrew Clinton, said, “We are delighted to welcome Rob, Geoff and Karyn whose insights and expertise will be invaluable to us. We are equally pleased to have made a number of internal promotions which recognise the contribution of long-standing members of the firm.”
“We have also met several fantastic new candidates who are aware of our strategic approach and eager to play a part in building a law firm that is centred around client need in everything that it does.”
